Installation

Install ArcPanel on a fresh server.

Pick the services you want below and copy the command. The installer sets up everything else and prints your login when it is done.

A fresh OS

Debian 12 / 13 or Ubuntu 22.04 / 24.04 / 26.04 LTS. There is no in-place upgrade from HestiaCP or ArcPanel 1.x.

amd64

64-bit x86 only; arm64 is not supported for now. KVM or LXC virtualization is recommended.

Root access

Log in over SSH as root, or as a user that can run sudo.

A hostname

A fully qualified name with at least three parts, such as panel.example.com, pointing at the server.

1 · Download the installer

Log in to your server, for example ssh root@your.server, then download the script:

wget https://arcpanel.org/install.sh

No wget? Download it with curl -fsSLo install.sh https://arcpanel.org/install.sh. An SSL error? Install the certificates first: apt-get update && apt-get install ca-certificates.

2 · Choose your options

Start from a preset, then adjust. Only changes from the defaults go into the command.

Start from

Skips the confirmation. The installer still asks for the admin password, and for the username, email and hostname left empty here.

3 · Run the installer

Check you are root, then run the command. The installer asks for the admin password: do not put passwords on the command line, they stay in your shell history.

Defaults
sudo bash install.sh

4 · Log in

When the installer finishes, open https://your.server:8083 and sign in with the account it printed. The details are also emailed to the admin address.
